Hello!
I am a trained graphic designer turned crafty crafter. I have a hard time just sticking with one type of medium, because I enjoy experimenting with different materials, and combining materials to see what I can come up with. Using my trained design eye in conceptualizing my ideas, I feel like creating things and sharing them is just something I need to do.
I finally decided after opening up a couple other etsy.com shops in the years past, for each specific type of creation I did (i.e. felting, jewelry, cards/invitations, etc.) that really, I should just combine all of my loves into one brand. Why divide it? So, I came up with Nimbi, pronounced “nim-bee”. Nimbi, plural for a nimbus cloud…which living in the Northwest, felt quite appropriate. The idea of the rain cloud came from the idea that clouds take water from the ocean, lakes, etc, and shower the rain in other areas. Same with me and my designs. I take inspirations from all types of things, and those ideas help me to shower you with all my creations and ideas.
This is now a way for me to combine all of my old loves and the new one’s I discover along the way and share them with you, allowing you, to hopefully purchase them because you love them as much as I do. I want to provide fun and whimsical items, like jewelry, cards, custom designs, invitations, letterpress, plushies, refurbished clothing, bags and so much more.
I love it all, and, though I probably realistically don’t always have the time, love to try and do it all.
